ABOUT LOCALISED SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Localized Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) are being implemented under the guidance of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to achieve the SDG 2030 agenda through grassroots planning and governance.

The framework integrates 17 global SDGs into 9 thematic areas with 144 local targets and over 577 indicators for effective monitoring at the Panchayat level.

In Government of Tripura, LSDGs are aligned with Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) to ensure participatory, data-driven, and outcome-based development.

Tripura has shown strong progress, with all districts achieving 'Front Runner' status (score 65–99) in the SDG Index, reflecting effective localization efforts.

This approach strengthens decentralized governance and accelerates inclusive, sustainable development across rural communities.
